Job description
About the Role
This position involves detailed annotation of movement and physical activity data for a remote project. The role requires analyzing raw data to identify and label types, intensities, durations, and qualities of physical activities using structured taxonomies, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Label activity type, intensity, duration, and movement quality accurately from raw datasets.
- Consistently use established classification systems and taxonomies across all data.
- Flag and report any unclear, partial, or poor-quality data segments for further examination.
- Detect and note discrepancies between self-reported activities and sensor-collected data.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to improve and clarify annotation procedures.
- Maintain high accuracy in annotations while achieving required throughput and ensuring agreement among different annotators.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational background in exercise science, kinesiology, sports science, physical therapy, or a similar discipline.
- Knowledgeable about physical activity classification methods and use of wearable or sensor data analytics.
- Strong precision and discipline in following detailed annotation protocols.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet software and annotation or labeling tools.
- Possession of a MacBook is preferred for optimal compatibility.
