Job Overview

As a Game Engineer at First Fun in Singapore, you will engage in the full development lifecycle of game systems, participating in design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases. Your role includes building both client-side and server-side services, APIs, internal tools, and features essential to the game platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to the design, development, validation, deployment, and ongoing support of game-related technologies.
• Create front-end interfaces and back-end services, write APIs, and develop internal tools and features that enhance the gaming platform.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code with an emphasis on performance.
• Improve system reliability and troubleshoot technical problems to ensure optimal game operation.
• Work in close cooperation with product managers, game designers, quality assurance engineers, and other development teams.
• Engage in thorough code reviews and utilize AI-assisted tools to elevate code quality and engineering efficiency continuously.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and apply them to overcome practical technical and business challenges.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Solid understanding of core software development concepts, including data structures, algorithms, databases, networking, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, C++, Java, Python, or C#.
• A genuine enthusiasm for software creation and the gaming industry.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly articulate technical issues, solutions, and project status.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
