Role overview
Save the Children International is hiring a driver in Cambodia to support staff, visitors, and field operations. The position involves transporting people to project locations, moving mail and supplies to project partners or other institutions, and maintaining the vehicle in clean, safe, and reliable working condition.
In the case of a major humanitarian emergency, the person in this role may need to step beyond the usual job scope and adjust working hours as required.
Responsibilities
- Transport staff and visitors to project and operational locations.
- Deliver mail, documents, and goods to projects, partners, and other institutions.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Adapt work patterns and hours when emergency response needs arise.
Qualifications and experience
The position requires completion of high school and at least 3 years of driving experience in an NGO, company, or public service setting. A valid official driving licence is mandatory, along with practical vehicle mechanical knowledge. The candidate should have basic English communication skills, a strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations, and good familiarity with the districts of Kampong Cham province.

Contract and organisation information
The employment contract is an Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC). Save the Children International works in more than 100 countries and focuses on improving children’s health, education, protection, and rights. The organisation aims toward three major breakthroughs by 2030: preventing avoidable deaths before age five, ensuring quality basic education for all children, and ending violence against children.
Working conditions and benefits
The role follows a 37.5-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours. The package includes international mentoring and professional development, group personal accident insurance, inpatient health cover for the staff member and dependents, provident fund contribution of 10%, seniority indemnity payment, 13th-month salary, medical allowance, phone card allowance, 26 weeks of fully paid maternity leave, 2 weeks of fully paid paternity leave, all government public holidays, and 18 days of annual leave.
