Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple projects and programs from the start through to their successful conclusion.
- Develop and maintain project communication strategies, organize meetings, and provide timely and precise status updates.
- Keep project sponsors, owners, and senior executives informed regarding progress, risks, challenges, decisions, and budget conditions.
- Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and overall health of projects.
- Collaborate with Product/Project Owners to clearly define, document, and control project scope.
- Handle budgeting, cost tracking, ROI assessments, and work closely with Finance to ensure value realization.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Lead cross-functional teams and allocate resources to meet project deadlines efficiently.
- Create and maintain essential project documentation such as charters, Statements of Work, quality and communication plans, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning aligned with project priorities.
- Assist executive leadership in conveying strategy and prioritizing key enterprise programs.
- Prepare concise, high-impact presentations for executives summarizing progress, risks, decisions, and business outcomes.
- Serve as an effective intermediary among internal teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Foster teamwork and influence stakeholders positively, even in matrix organizations without direct authority.
- Remove impediments and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure project deliverables and documentation comply with standards.
- Advocate for customer needs, focusing on client satisfaction and patient safety.
- Maintain flexibility and a problem-solving mindset under pressure and shifting priorities.
- Assign tasks effectively according to team member skills, workloads, and availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience within the US healthcare sector is essential.
- Robust expertise in project and program management.
- Proven ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication capabilities.
- Strong skills in written, verbal, and presentation communications.
- Competence in project planning, scheduling, budget management, and financial oversight.
- Practical knowledge of managing risks, issues, dependencies, actions, and decisions.
- Ability to influence outcomes without formal authority.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decisive decision-making.
- Experience operating in complex, ambiguous, and matrixed organizational structures.
- Excellent leadership, delegation, and team management abilities.
- Skills in defining and improving business processes and operationalizing them.
- Highly organized with proven capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-centric mindset with an emphasis on patient safety and healthcare business understanding.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Background in managing large-scale healthcare initiatives at an enterprise level.
- Skilled in creating executive dashboards and presentations.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and relevant tools.
- Experience managing relationships with vendors, partners, and client stakeholders.
- PMP or an equivalent project or program management certification is desirable.
