As a Principal Engineer specializing in substations, you will play a pivotal role in delivering critical transmission and substation projects pivotal to the nation's energy transition. Bring your extensive expertise in primary, secondary, or protection systems to lead and influence major high-voltage substation projects spanning 22kV to 220kV, while contributing to the growth of our Asia-Pacific Transmission & Distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and verify the design of medium and high voltage substations (22kV-220kV).
• Provide expert technical leadership throughout concept formulation, detailed design, and thorough design assurance stages.
• Serve as a reliable consultant to utilities, infrastructure developers, and clients.
• Support business pursuits including bids and strategic engagement with clients.
• Mentor engineering staff and advocate for technical excellence within the team.
• Shape project deliverables, standards, and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Significant track record in executing high-voltage substation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of primary, secondary, or protection engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with New Zealand's electricity utility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven technical judgment coupled with experience in client interactions.
