Junior Storeperson

Role Summary

HMPS PROPAC is inviting applications for a dependable and motivated Junior Storeperson to become part of our dynamic manufacturing and operations team located in Export Park, Adelaide. This position offers a fantastic chance for individuals aiming to advance their career in warehousing, inventory control, and store management.

Responsibilities

• Accept and verify incoming shipments and arrange proper storage
• Pick, prepare, and package goods for shipment
• Support freight and courier logistics activities
• Provide necessary parts and materials to production teams
• Keep accurate and up-to-date stock documentation and ensure correct labeling and organized storage
• Contribute to stocktaking and cycle count procedures
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in warehouse and storage areas
• Manage returns, warranty claims, and handle non-conforming products
• Gain proficiency in inventory management systems and operating the Vertical Lift Machine (VLM)
• Foster effective communication with colleagues and supervisors
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment and manual handling guidelines
• Perform other routine tasks related to stores and warehouse as needed

Candidate Profile

• Genuine enthusiasm for starting or growing a career in warehousing, logistics or stores management
• Previous experience in warehouse or store operations advantageous but not required
• Possession of or willingness to acquire a forklift license is highly desirable
• Keen interest in mechanical spare parts and managing inventory
• Basic computer literacy with eagerness to learn new inventory software
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work
• Well-developed organizational and time management capabilities
• Capability to comprehend and implement instructions and adopt new procedures
• Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards at work
• Positive mindset, dependability, and a strong work ethic
• Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks
