About the Role

Join Nestlé, the largest Food and Beverage Company globally, as a Transport Planner based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position within Nestlé Saudi Manufacturing reports to the Warehouse Manager. The role involves managing the complete inbound and outbound transportation operations within the manufacturing plant. Your goal will be to ensure seamless, cost-effective movement of goods, align transport activities with warehouse and production operations, and drive continuous improvements in logistics efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily inbound and outbound transport activities to guarantee on-time deliveries.
  • Optimize transport schedules and planning to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
  • Maintain compliance with Nestlé's Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards and local transport regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse, production teams, suppliers, and 3PL providers to synchronize operations.
  • Monitor carrier performance, address service issues promptly, and implement performance enhancements.
  • Accurately document and track shipments to minimize delays and discrepancies.
  • Support initiatives to control and reduce transportation costs through efficiency improvements.

Typical Daily Activities

  • Schedule and oversee transport operations including coordination with third-party logistics providers.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections to ensure adherence to SHE requirements.
  • Track and analyze transport-related KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, cost per trip, and carrier efficiency.
  • Work proactively to identify cost reduction opportunities and enhance service levels.
  • Maintain accurate records including transport documentation, invoices, and compliance paperwork.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least three years of professional experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience collaborating with third-party logistics providers and familiarity with freight management systems.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of transport planning methods and fleet management.
  • Good knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment regulations pertaining to transportation.
  • Proficiency in SAP logistics and transport transactions.
  • Ability to analyze transportation cost drivers and implement cost-saving measures effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making under fast-paced conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective coordination among multiple teams.
