Role Overview
The Adventure Park Manager holds complete responsibility for the management, safety, and commercial success of the hotel's adventure park. This position supervises daily operations, manages guest experiences, leads the team, ensures equipment upkeep, compliance with safety standards, revenue growth, and delivers engaging outdoor activities that reflect the hotel's premium branding. Ensuring a secure, memorable, and high-quality adventure outing for every visitor is a key priority.
Primary Duties
- Organize, plan, and direct daily adventure park operations.
- Guarantee safe and efficient functioning of all attractions and facilities.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols for adventure activities.
- Monitor guest capacity and flow to enhance safety and satisfaction.
- Manage park opening and closing protocols.
- Maintain all equipment and infrastructure to meet operational standards.
Guest Experience Management
- Ensure exceptional guest interactions with professional and safe adventure experiences.
- Collect and analyze guest feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Address and resolve guest issues quickly and courteously.
- Innovate new adventure offerings and seasonal events to enrich guest attractions.
- Encourage a culture of service excellence within the team.
Safety and Risk Control
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and activity regulations.
- Conduct frequent risk assessments for all adventure attractions.
- Complete and document all safety inspections thoroughly.
- Ensure all adventure equipment is properly inspected, maintained, and certified.
- Lead emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and incident management.
- Investigate any accidents and apply corrective measures promptly.
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop the staff operating the Adventure Park.
- Perform regular performance assessments and continuous coaching.
- Create staff schedules aligned with operational demands.
- Promote a positive environment focused on safety and guest satisfaction.
- Drive teamwork, accountability, and constant enhancement efforts.
Financial and Commercial Responsibilities
- Meet revenue goals and profitability targets for the Adventure Park.
- Oversee and control department expenses efficiently.
- Explore opportunities to increase earnings through activities, packages, special events, and collaborations.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to boost park visibility.
- Assist in budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
Equipment and Asset Oversight
- Keep an accurate inventory of adventure-related equipment and materials.
- Adhere to equipment inspection, servicing, and replacement schedules.
- Coordinate necessary repairs with engineering staff and external providers.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance to safeguard company assets.
Administration and Compliance
- Prepare operational, safety, and performance reports regularly.
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, inspections, and training records.
- Guarantee adherence to company policies, insurance requirements, and local laws.
- Participate in audits and implement required corrective actions.
Collaboration
- Work cooperatively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources to ensure smooth operations.
- Support hotel events and guest activities involving the Adventure Park.
- Collaborate with external vendors, instructors, and regulatory agencies as necessary.
Qualifications
- Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Physical Education, or a related discipline.
Experience
- At least 5 years managing adventure parks, outdoor recreation venues, theme parks, or similar leisure operations.
- A minimum of 2 years in leadership or managerial roles.
- Experience in a premium upscale hospitality environment is a plus.
- Pre-opening experience is highly valued.
