Job description

About the Company

ARENGY is a UAE-based technical consultancy and recruitment firm supporting prominent technology and engineering firms across the Middle East. They are seeking to fill two UAV Assembly Technician roles for a progressive client in Abu Dhabi specializing in advanced UAV and aerial robotics development.

Role Overview

This hands-on position involves working closely with engineers and technicians to assemble, wire, integrate, and test custom-made drones. The job requires assembling frames made of carbon-fiber or composite materials, installing motors, electronic speed controllers, flight controllers, GPS units, First-Person View equipment, and power distribution setups. Tasks include soldering power and signal cables, performing continuity and visual inspections, bench testing, assisting with prototyping and mechanical modifications, and maintaining a safe and orderly workspace during different UAV building and testing phases.

Candidate Profile

The company prioritizes practical skills over purely academic qualifications. Ideal applicants will have at least a high school diploma, with a preference for those holding technical or vocational education in electronics, mechanics, or mechatronics. Candidates should have foundational knowledge of electronics and DC circuits, proficient soldering skills, strong manual dexterity for working with small parts, and experience with tools like multimeters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, calipers, and hex keys. Relevant hands-on experience—whether professional, project-based, or from hobbies—involving drones, RC models, electronics, mechanics, robotics, or maker activities is essential. Attention to detail, patience, eagerness to learn, and a practical problem-solving attitude are also required.

Additional Advantages

Familiarity with FPV drones or RC aircraft, CAD software such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, 3D printing, drone firmware flashing or configuration tools like ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, or INAV, and holding drone pilot certification will be considered beneficial.

Opportunity

This position offers an excellent chance to immerse oneself in the UAE's expanding UAV sector and to acquire hands-on experience building and testing sophisticated drone systems.
