Role Overview

The Trade Control Analyst will be accountable for trade control accounting and producing daily management reports within the Trading Business Unit focusing on palm commodities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor global commodity markets and update management on market trends that might influence positions and profit and loss (PNL).
• Update trade details and generate daily Mark-to-Market reports showing realized PNL for closed trades and unrealized PNL for open positions.
• Coordinate with traders daily to reconcile trader PNL with Trade Control’s net position reports.
• Analyze PNL and position fluctuations for weekly management meetings.
• Establish and uphold internal controls to optimize operational and financial efficiency.
• Facilitate smooth month-end book closures.
• Work with traders to ensure reported PNL figures align with Trade Control records.
• Analyze PNL drivers from a value chain perspective.
• Create charts and commentaries to communicate Business Unit performance in monthly senior management updates.
• Support preparation of ad-hoc management reports and contribute to annual budget preparations.
