Job Role and Key Duties

As a Store Staff member in the retail sector, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service by warmly greeting shoppers and assisting them with their product inquiries. You'll provide clear and precise information regarding product details, discounts, and pricing structures, ensuring all customers have a satisfactory shopping experience while addressing any complaints courteously.

Sales and Billing Responsibilities

You will support customers to select items that meet their needs and actively engage in upselling and cross-selling efforts to achieve sales goals. Operating the store’s POS systems, you will handle transactions across cash, UPI, and card payments efficiently.

Store Operations and Maintenance

Maintaining a clean and orderly store environment is essential. You will ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are displayed according to company standards while adhering to all store opening and closing protocols.

Inventory Control

Your duties include monitoring stock levels consistently, reporting shortages to supervisors, receiving and arranging new inventory, and preventing any losses due to damage, theft, or misplacement.

Visual Merchandising

You will arrange products attractively following company guidelines and regularly update visual displays to reflect current promotions and seasonal campaigns.

Compliance and Discipline

All team members must comply with company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations. Maintaining professionalism through punctuality, appropriate grooming, and proper use of identification cards and uniforms is expected.

Team Collaboration and Reporting

Supporting the store manager and fellow staff in daily operations, coordinating effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth customer flow, and providing daily sales reports and feedback about customers, stock issues, or system concerns are vital parts of the role.
