Role Overview
As the Shop Manager for Hogan, you will spearhead the boutique's pursuit of commercial success, enhance customer relationship management, and cultivate a high-performing team that embodies the brand's essence in a vibrant in-store setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales data regularly, monitor market trends, and keep track of competitor activities.
- Propose improvements such as store merchandising, operating hours adjustments, and product assortment optimization.
- Generate both quantitative and qualitative sales reports.
- Maintain active presence on the shop floor to drive sales and personally engage VIP customers.
- Identify customer needs proactively and implement initiatives to satisfy them.
- Ensure consistent high-quality customer service and effectively manage customer complaints.
- Build, nurture, and utilize a detailed customer database.
- Accurately record all incoming goods, maintain stock control, and oversee stock movement documentation.
- Supervise stock replenishment, prevent overstocking, and suggest corrective measures when necessary.
- Prepare thoroughly for inventory audits.
- Coordinate with back office, suppliers, logistics, marketing, and merchandising teams on new launches, in-store events, or renovations, providing insightful feedback.
- Liaise with mall management regarding promotions, permits, and security matters.
- Monitor customer traffic patterns and detect any theft or policy violations.
- Acquire and apply extensive product knowledge to educate customers and maintain inventory availability.
- Review sales metrics and assist with pricing adjustments.
- Optimize shop layout, merchandise presentation, and visual merchandising displays per brand standards.
- Decorate and update window displays aligned with brand guidelines.
- Perform routine checks to ensure stockroom and shelving organization and cleanliness.
- Guarantee staff adherence to operational procedures and policies.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and resolution of any issues.
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards including cleanliness, lighting, and stock rotation.
- Conduct daily store walkthroughs to uphold presentation quality.
- Create staff schedules to ensure full floor coverage and maintain grooming standards.
- Participate in hiring processes for shop staff and sales executives.
- Lead, engage, delegate tasks to team members, and conduct performance appraisals and training sessions.
- Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile daily reports.
- Coordinate with PSAS, IT, and HR departments to ensure shipment accuracy, POS system integrity, and proper function of biometric devices.
- Work with Retail and Country Managers to set monthly staff objectives, oversee stock transfers, monitor staff leaves and confirmations, support succession planning, and provide sales and stock movement reports.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of four years' experience managing a luxury retail boutique, preferably in luxury footwear and leather accessories.
- Strong leadership skills, sharp business insight, and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of CRM systems, luxury clientele, and current luxury retail trends.
- Excellent communication, people management, and problem-solving capabilities.
