Role Overview
As a Senior Web Developer, you will be entrusted with crafting outstanding web interfaces for both customers and staff of Ticketure. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams, you will ensure high-quality delivery of features. You will report to the Director of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of technical challenges from requirement analysis through implementation to production deployment, ensuring solutions align with specifications and meet production standards.
- Collaborate extensively across teams to meet shared objectives, while providing leadership for technical tasks and overseeing the work of colleagues.
- Maintain adherence to technical norms and quality benchmarks within the team.
- Work alongside client-facing staff to smooth feature releases, manage client expectations, and swiftly address issues; occasionally liaising directly with clients for planning or problem resolution.
- Support business service level agreements by remaining available for urgent support needs beyond standard hours, especially in case of outages impacting ticket sales.
- Navigate and balance progress within the constraints of the existing codebase to sustain business success while pursuing development roadmaps.
- Stay informed on evolving web technologies and trends to suggest process improvements and innovations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven extensive experience in software development, particularly with modern front-end technologies.
- Expertise with core tech stack including JavaScript, CSS, Vue.js, TypeScript, and JSON APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capacity.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This primarily remote role requires quarterly gatherings in Wellington.
- Tasks include regular communication with teams and clients, prolonged use of computers and office equipment, remaining seated for long periods with some movement, visual attention to screen data, occasional manual handling of items weighing up to 15 pounds.
