Role Overview

The Senior Structural BIM Engineer plays a pivotal role in leading and managing all structural BIM-related activities on projects. This includes ensuring the accuracy and coordination of BIM models, drawings, and deliverables, and collaborating closely with structural, architectural, and MEP teams. The position demands adherence to BIM standards and workflows, thorough review of technical outputs, and leadership in mentoring BIM engineers and modelers to meet project requirements, quality benchmarks, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of structural BIM models to align with project specifications.
• Develop and critically review structural models and drawings leveraging Revit software.
• Collaborate and coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Use Navisworks to detect and resolve clashes in models.
• Evaluate BIM models and drawings to ensure precision and high quality.
• Maintain compliance with BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate efforts with engineers, designers, and cross-functional project teams.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to BIM Engineers and Modelers.
• Participate in coordination meetings to address and solve technical challenges.
• Ensure the timely completion and delivery of BIM-related outputs.
• Organize and document BIM models appropriately.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of BIM processes and operational workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• More than 7 years of relevant experience in Structural BIM.
• Proficient expertise in Structural BIM practices.
• Advanced skills in using Revit Structure software.
• Familiarity with Navisworks and clash detection techniques.
• Solid understanding of structural drawings and construction methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and ISO 19650 is advantageous.
