Role Overview

This full-time Product Security Engineer position offers a remote work opportunity to design and implement security measures for a cloud-native platform. The role emphasizes threat modeling and secure development approaches while collaborating with diverse teams to embed security throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Define and uphold security requirements for product features and infrastructure components.
Perform threat modeling and risk analysis for both new and existing product functionalities.
Enforce secure coding standards and conduct comprehensive security testing.
Work alongside engineering teams to architect and deploy secure cloud-based systems.
Monitor security vulnerabilities and lead remediation coordination across various teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience implementing secure software development lifecycle procedures.
Proficient in threat modeling techniques and related tooling.
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices for platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with security testing tools including static and dynamic analysis, and penetration testing.
Experience with container security technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
In-depth understanding of identity and access management and zero-trust security concepts.
Capability to create clear and effective security documentation for engineering teams.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is between $250,000 and $400,000.
