Position Summary
We are looking for a Lead Kitchen Cleaner responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness for dishes, glassware, flatware, and the dishwashing area. You will lead by example in maintaining spotless kitchens and supporting your team's success. Ideally, candidates should have over two years of experience in kitchen stewarding or dishwashing roles, aiming to achieve excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload and organize washed dinnerware, flatware, and glassware by size and type, returning items requiring re-washing.
- Keep supply and storage areas tidy by removing trash, wiping surfaces, cleaning floors, and relocating misplaced items appropriately.
- Sort and receive soiled dishes and utensils according to size and type.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, scrub walls and trash cans, collect trash in designated areas, and clean floor mats.
- Inspect dishwasher machinery to ensure it meets operational standards.
- Maintain dishwasher water and filters by changing and refilling as necessary for optimal cleaning.
- Keep garbage disposal areas clean and functioning properly.
- Transport kitchen waste containers to dumpsters and ensure these are emptied and cleaned.
Candidate Profile
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred minimum of two years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen worker or similar environment.
- Availability to work full-time hours, including variable shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations.

Compensation
The starting wage is $20.05 per hour, meeting or exceeding minimum wage requirements. Overtime pay complies with state standards.
