About the Role
We are inviting applications for a permanent Cleaner/Housekeeper position at Alva Academy located in Alva, Scotland, under Amey's Borders school contract. The role involves delivering essential cleaning services within a school environment, contributing positively to the wider UK communities we serve.
The position offers an hourly wage of 3.45 with a weekly work schedule of 20 hours. Shift patterns include either split shifts from 6am to 8am and then 3pm to 5pm or a continuous block shift from 3pm to 7pm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties that meet contractual quality standards.
- Manage inventory levels and reorder cleaning consumables as necessary.
- Use cleaning machinery safely following provided training and safety protocols.
- Consistently deliver customer satisfaction through high-quality service to building occupants.
- Maintain health and safety standards consistently across the contract.
- Support both local and organizational zero carbon initiatives by adopting strategic, lean approaches where applicable.
Candidates' Qualifications and Attributes
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, responsibility, and efficiency.
- Possess strong customer service skills, being approachable, friendly, and possessing a positive work attitude.
- Eager to learn new skills and assist colleagues.
- Experience in safely handling chemicals and operating cleaning equipment.
