About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Cutover Manager to lead the end-to-end cutover strategy for a large-scale enterprise transformation. This role involves managing multiple concurrent technology projects in a complex environment with various systems, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the master cutover plan and run sheet that spans across several projects.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, business stakeholders, and vendors to synchronize all cutover-related tasks.
- Organize and drive cutover dress rehearsals, system resets, and readiness checks to ensure smooth execution.
- Create comprehensive rollback and contingency plans to mitigate risks during deployment.
- Manage governance approvals, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Technology Risk Management (TRM) processes.
- Lead live production cutovers, facilitate war room sessions, and perform data verification alongside production validation testing (PVT).
- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to ensure successful system deployments.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years’ experience handling enterprise-level cutover or release management activities.
- Demonstrable expertise managing complex cutovers involving multiple integrated applications, systems, and vendors.
- Strong background in coordinating deployments of ERP, CRM, or enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, Salesforce, or similar technologies.
- Experience planning and orchestrating dress rehearsals, rollback procedures, and live go-live executions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to stay composed and make critical decisions under pressure during production rollout.
Additional Desirables
- Previous experience in the utilities or energy industries.
- Familiarity with field service, scheduling, or billing system platforms.
- Exposure to both commercial off-the-shelf and custom-built software applications.
Contract Details
This position is a contract role based in Hobart, Tasmania, with a daily rate paid until the end of 2026, initially contracted through December 2026.
