Role Vision and Responsibilities

• Design and build robust HiveMQ platform software to support massive-scale global IoT deployments.
• Create resilient, self-healing software systems using modern state-of-the-art tools.
• Develop concurrent, maintainable, and high-performance algorithms optimized for large-scale operations.
• Maintain, refactor, and extend existing codebases and APIs, enhance testing coverage, and address security concerns.
• Utilize profiling, benchmarking, and state analysis tools to identify and resolve performance inefficiencies.
• Incorporate AI-assisted coding platforms such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot into development workflows.
• Diagnose and eliminate bottlenecks to improve system scalability and responsiveness.
• Investigate and solve complex edge cases, aiming to find common underlying causes.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team complemented by strong interpersonal communication skills.
• High ownership sense with pride in delivering quality outcomes.
• Solid experience (over 5 years) in developing and deploying business-critical software solutions.
• Deep expertise in crafting reliable, scalable backend applications executed on JVM platforms.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git), multiple testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging skills to address complex technical issues and implement lasting solutions.
• Experience designing data-intensive, high-throughput applications.
• Familiarity with various architectural styles, particularly event-driven systems, and resilient inter-service communication patterns.
• Knowledge of technologies like NoSQL databases, Kafka, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: 58,000 to 120,000 EUR per year.
