Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to identify and report any unusual or suspicious activities.
• Verify identification and manage access control to restricted zones.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security threats or incidents, meticulously documenting all actions taken.
• Ensure the proper functionality of security systems, including alarms and surveillance cameras.
• Manage alarm activations and perform on-site investigations as required.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during significant incidents.
• Engage in community outreach, particularly with vulnerable populations.
• Uphold and enforce the Trespass to Property Act.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Possession of a valid security guard license is mandatory.
• Current First Aid certification is required.
• Capability to remain standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
• Willingness and ability to complete an Advanced Use of Force Training Course.
• Familiarity with the Trespass to Property Act and the legal aspects of arrest powers.
