Program Manager, Fulfillment Operations

Role overview

We are seeking a Program Manager to support fulfillment operations for a partner company in the United States. In this position, you will help build and scale the operational foundation of a rapidly expanding fulfillment network. The work centers on major initiatives such as facility buildouts, site relocations, and automation rollouts that affect warehouse throughput, customer experience, and supply chain efficiency.

You will serve as the main coordinator across Operations, IT, Finance, and outside vendors, making sure large capital initiatives stay on schedule, remain within budget, and support broader business objectives. The role blends strategic program leadership with direct execution in a fast-moving environment. It is a highly visible position with real influence on infrastructure choices and the long-term scalability of the network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage fulfillment center buildouts, relocations, and greenfield launches from early planning through go-live.
• Oversee automation deployments, including goods-to-person solutions, conveyor and sortation systems, and WMS integrations with internal and external teams.
• Set program scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, and success measures while keeping all workstreams accountable.
• Work closely with Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Real Estate to keep priorities aligned and execution smooth.
• Handle vendor partnerships for construction, automation, and equipment delivery, ensuring contractual obligations and service expectations are met.
• Create and maintain financial and operational models that guide facility design decisions, including labor needs, capacity, and volume forecasts.
• Spot risks early, raise issues with practical mitigation paths, and run post-launch reviews to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of program or project management experience in supply chain, fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, or distribution settings.
• Background managing large capital projects worth $5M or more, including vendor agreements, procurement, and cross-functional delivery.
• Proven ability to lead complex efforts involving multiple stakeholders across Operations, IT, Finance, and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with fulfillment center operations, warehouse systems, or automation initiatives is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks such as PMP, Agile, or similar approaches is an advantage.
