Role overview
This opportunity is for a partner company, which handles the application review process and all subsequent hiring steps. The position is for a Manager, Implementations in the United States.
You will lead complex third-party logistics implementation work, making sure new client operations are designed, configured, and launched successfully across distribution and fulfillment settings. The role brings together operations, IT, engineering, and client teams to deliver smooth go-live outcomes. In addition to guiding projects, you will help shape operating processes, system needs, and performance measures that support each new client launch. The job calls for strong coordination, practical problem-solving, and the ability to manage several priorities in fast-moving, high-pressure situations. You will also act as a client-facing point of contact, aligning contract commitments with real operational execution. Successful implementation work in this role has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and overall operational results.
Key responsibilities
- Own client implementation projects from start to finish, ensuring new business is transitioned into operations in line with contract, technical, and performance expectations.
- Set the implementation scope, operating model, KPIs, system needs, workflow maps, and SOPs in accordance with client agreements.
- Bring together teams across operations, logistics, IT, engineering, and customer service to support onboarding and launch activities.
- Drive implementation planning, execution, and go-live support, including onsite coordination and resource allocation.
- Manage the creation and alignment of operating procedures and contract-related documentation.
- Run regular status meetings with clients and internal teams to measure progress, manage expectations, and address issues early.
- Spot implementation risks, evaluate their impact, and communicate mitigation plans clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coach and guide internal implementation team members supporting strategic and complex launches.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and internal partners to keep alignment and satisfaction high.
- Contribute to process-improvement efforts that strengthen implementation quality and outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, implementation, or startup/change-management environments.
- Background in 3PL, distribution, or fulfillment center operations.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and day-to-day operating workflows.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and handle multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and operational technologies.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and operational systems; scanner or warehouse technology experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to manage risks, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- SQL or other technical data experience is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and work flexible schedules, including weekends when required.
