This position, Officer, Application Developer (Internal Job Title: 26935287 Application Developer- C11), based in Singapore, focuses on innovating and supporting customer exposure systems. Key Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in application development concepts and procedures to identify and detail necessary system enhancements via scripting and code analysis.
- Collaborate with users, clients, and technology groups to resolve issues, propose programming solutions, implement and support systems.
- Utilize programming languages to develop design specifications.
- Perform application analysis to detect vulnerabilities and security risks; carry out testing and debugging activities.
- Act as a mentor or coach to less experienced analysts.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, HTML/CSS, Angular, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts framework, Spring, and Microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of core concepts such as Exception Handling, OOP principles, Collections, Multi-Threading, HTTP sessions and session management, Servlet/JSP lifecycle, JDBC, event handling, implicit objects, custom tags, and context.
- Experience working with Oracle databases in UNIX environments, with knowledge of database design, SQL scripting, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks including JUnit or TestNG.
- Awareness of application servers and web servers.
- Experience with transactional applications focused on low latency and high availability is advantageous.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies like JMS and Kafka is a plus.
- Exposure to DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Lightspeed, and Harness is desirable.
