Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, versatile HR Manager to join our India division based in Pune. This key role involves end-to-end responsibility for the HR lifecycle including recruitment, payroll administration, compliance with Indian labor laws, and fostering an engaging workplace culture. You will be the primary contact for all HR operations in India, interfacing with local compliance consultants while driving data-informed HR strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment process collaborating with hiring managers from job description creation through offer acceptance.
- Collect and analyze HR metrics to guide decision-making and optimize HR programs.
- Lead employee engagement efforts by conducting surveys, analyzing feedback, and creating improvement plans.
- Coordinate and oversee employee training initiatives to support skill enhancement.
- Organize corporate events and team activities to promote a cohesive and inclusive culture.
- Own all HR operations in India, managing onboarding, contract administration, exits, and settlements in line with local law and company policies.
- Act as the first contact for employee queries regarding HR policies and benefits, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS, managing updates related to hires, terminations, and status changes.
- Assist with performance management cycles including scheduling and tracking reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Indian statutory laws (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment Act) and coordinate with legal and compliance advisors on relevant filings and audits.
- Manage monthly payroll processes including salary calculation, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and full & final settlements, ensuring timely, accurate disbursements and regulatory compliance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of progressive experience in HR with strong exposure to recruitment and operational functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively connect with individuals across various levels and functions.
- High professionalism and discretion, capable of handling confidential information sensitively.
- Organized and proactive, able to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Experienced with HRIS and applicant tracking systems, with the agility to quickly adapt to new software tools.
- Thorough understanding of Indian employment laws and statutory payroll regulations, including PF, ESI, TDS, and Gratuity.
