Data Analyst

Overview

This is a full-time permanent data analyst opportunity with a direct client, based in Canada and open to remote work. The role sits within the sports, gaming, and entertainment space. Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of datasets and dashboards across the full lifecycle, from requirement gathering through QA/UAT and into production.
• Use SQL to query, inspect, and validate large volumes of data.
• Run quality checks to ensure information is accurate, complete, and consistent before release.
• Partner with data engineers to investigate pipeline or data issues and confirm that fixes work as expected.
• Assist with marketing initiatives and A/B experiments, including test/control setup and data verification.
• Convert raw data into clear, actionable insights for business teams.

Required Background

• Strong hands-on SQL skills, plus working knowledge of Python.
• Experience in data quality assurance, validation, and testing processes.
• Ability to manage data products end to end, including datasets and dashboards.
• Comfort working with both data engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Exposure to marketing analytics and experimentation, especially A/B testing.
• Relevant industry exposure in sports, gaming, or entertainment is preferred.
