Role overview
This is a temporary, mission-focused opportunity supporting efforts to widen access to HPV prevention and reinforce immunization programs that help reduce vaccine-preventable cancers worldwide. The role sits in a collaborative public health setting and contributes to research, partner coordination, and program delivery for the Global HPV Consortium and related initiatives. It is cross-functional in nature, blending research support, information management, data handling, and technical communication. The position also provides exposure to global immunization systems, donor-supported programs, and partnerships across public health and global development.
The Associate helps keep projects moving smoothly, from gathering and analyzing information to preparing reports and engaging stakeholders. It is well suited to an early-career public health professional who is motivated by vaccine equity and global health impact.
Key responsibilities
- Help implement HPV Prevention and Global HPV Consortium activities by coordinating with internal teams and outside partners.
- Carry out literature reviews and environmental scans using both peer-reviewed and grey literature to guide program work and technical materials.
- Assist with stakeholder mapping, contact list upkeep, and maintenance of project tracking tools and key informant engagement records.
- Support survey design, distribution, data gathering, and initial analysis used to shape program decisions.
- Organize webinars, meetings, and workshops, including scheduling, preparing materials, and communicating with participants.
- Contribute to organizing, visualizing, and reporting data for internal and donor-facing outputs.
- Draft and refine technical content such as briefs, reports, presentations, meeting notes, and summaries.
- Prepare briefing materials and knowledge-sharing resources that support HPV prevention work.
- Provide administrative and operational support to help deliver milestones on time.
- Work across teams to maintain alignment with organizational priorities and broader immunization efforts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in public health, global health, international development, or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in public health, vaccination programs, cancer prevention, or global health work is preferred.
- Well-developed organizational ability, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to manage several tasks at once.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams, as well as Zoom.
- Exposure to data visualization platforms such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.
- Knowledge of global immunization systems, especially in low- and middle-income country settings, is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to condense and explain complex information clearly.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a range of audiences and technical documents.
