Web Application Engineer

Role overview

We are looking for a Web Application Engineer to support customers using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and help them succeed in building, migrating, modernizing, and running applications on the cloud. In this role, you will offer practical technical direction on secure cloud foundations, automated infrastructure and application provisioning, and cloud-ready application design. You will also partner closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to improve Google Cloud products and features.

Key responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and support web applications that run on cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with product managers, technical leaders, and engineers to deliver web application solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to create outcomes that align with changing business needs.
• Gather client needs and convert them into working web application features.
• Use cloud platforms to deploy and operate web applications effectively.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent amount of hands-on practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience using one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Experience working with a public cloud platform, including Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Angular.

Preferred qualifications

• Certification in Google Cloud Platform or another cloud-related certification.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams spread across different geographies, and collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts in web applications.
• Understanding of the cloud marketplace and what differentiates various cloud offerings.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply emerging cloud and IT technologies, methods, and solutions.
