Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a client focused on e-commerce, working entirely remotely on a full-time basis. The position involves developing scalable backend systems, improving algorithms, and collaborating across teams to implement high-performance solutions that support real-time user interactions on worldwide platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services for distributed system environments.
• Produce clean, efficient code that complies with best practices and comprehensive testing procedures.
• Enhance system performance by performing profiling, debugging, and refining algorithms.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design meetings, and architectural planning.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineering peers to deliver new features.

Requirements

• Strong command over programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with building or maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases with the ability to optimize performance.
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
• Experience using version control tools (like Git) and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
