Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking two skilled Rig Electricians / Electronic Technicians (E-Techs) to join ongoing geothermal and oil & gas energy projects in New Zealand's Taupo and Taranaki regions. This contract position features a two-year outlook with rotating projects, including New Zealand's pioneering Superhot geothermal exploration endeavor and other renewable geothermal and conventional energy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, control, and instrumentation systems used in drilling operations.
- Conduct both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults and support operational needs effectively.
- Keep thorough and accurate maintenance documentation for all activities performed.
- Adhere strictly to New Zealand workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required to support company equipment and operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence.
- Hazardous Area Endorsement certification.
- A strong background in industrial electrical work.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in similar roles within the geothermal or oil and gas industries.
- Familiarity with remote or rotational work environments.
- Skills in electrical instrumentation and control systems.
