About the Role

Join Canva's dynamic team focused on transforming the design experience globally. This position is based in Sydney with a flexible hybrid work model, allowing a mix of remote work and on-campus collaboration at our thoughtfully designed Surry Hills location.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and People Partners to provide strategic advice on reward programs that align with organizational goals and support talent decisions.
• Design, implement, and refine reward policies, programs, and frameworks to ensure a consistent and scalable employee experience.
• Lead initiatives related to job architecture, compensation review cycles, market benchmarking, and governance to sustain equitable pay structures.
• Use internal data and market insights to evaluate roles, benchmark salaries, and recommend compensation balancing fairness, competitiveness, and business needs.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure fair and market-aligned offers for both new hires and internal transfers.
• Collaborate across the People team to communicate and operationalize reward strategies effectively, adhering to Canva's Total Rewards philosophy.

Who You Are

• Experienced in the technology sector or similarly fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Possess broad expertise in compensation and Total Rewards, including job architecture, salary reviews, market analysis, and governance.
• Proactive in partnering with leadership, understanding their challenges, and delivering education and support around reward programs.
• Skilled in explaining reward philosophies to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Strong data analysis abilities, capable of translating insights into compelling narratives.
• Excellent relationship builder and influencer with credibility among stakeholders.

The Reward team at Canva plays a central role in empowering the world to design by creating fair, competitive, and culturally aligned reward systems. We work closely with leadership and People teams across areas including compensation, job architecture, equity, and reward strategy, utilizing market data and program design to support scalable growth.
