About EAII Advisors and Evidence Action

EAII Advisors, a technical partner of Evidence Action in India, delivers evidence-based public health programs such as safe drinking water projects, National Deworming Day, and iron and folic acid supplementation in schools and Anganwadi centers across 10 states. They assist ministries of health, education, water, and women and child development to reduce health challenges affecting impoverished communities and enhance the well-being of children and families.

Evidence Action implements data-driven solutions addressing neglected global health issues at scale, operating across 11 countries. Its programs include the Deworm the World initiative, which has distributed over 2 billion treatments reducing worm prevalence, the Safe Water Now program, which has saved over 15,000 children, and the Accelerator exploring cost-effective health interventions.

Role Overview

The Regional Coordinator will provide technical support to India's Anemia Mukt Bharat initiative for iron and folic acid supplementation as per government guidelines. Reporting to the State Program Lead in Andhra Pradesh, they will oversee activities across eight to nine districts, supporting seamless implementation of supplementation programs for children aged six months to 19 years throughout the state’s 28 districts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for regional, district, and block officials, building strong partnerships with senior administrators in health, education, ICDS, and related departments following state office instructions.
  • Represent the organization in district meetings, promoting regular forums for problem-solving and planning effective interventions.
  • Advocate for programme expansion and assist district health authorities in budgeting and IEC strategy integration into annual NHM plans.
  • Collaborate with development partners and other stakeholders at district levels under state guidance.
  • Support additional school health programs as directed.
  • Coordinate with state teams including tele-calling units to address district requirements.
  • Conduct extensive field visits (18-20 days per month) within districts to provide direct support and ensure AMB guidelines are followed.
  • Manage drug assessment and ensure timely requisition and distribution of IFA supplements, maintaining last-mile supply chain oversight.
  • Facilitate and monitor training cascades and awareness sessions at district and mandal levels.
  • Support IEC activities by planning within budgets and ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to schools and Anganwadi centers, providing feedback for improvements and supervising district facilitators.
  • Coordinate with state teams for system strengthening related to IFA activities.
  • Ensure timely reporting, data submission, and information sharing with state teams, preparing presentations and data analyses to support informed decisions.
  • Develop district-specific action plans outlining challenges and strategies in consultation with the State Program Lead.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, collaborating and supporting team members as needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Nutrition, Social Work, Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8-9 years of experience in the development sector with direct program implementation in public health or nutrition, especially related to maternal and child health or micronutrient supplementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate government health programs at district and sub-district levels in Andhra Pradesh, including engagement with government officials.
  • Experience managing multi-district programs and independently liaising with senior district authorities.
  • Proficient communication skills in Telugu for everyday functions and English for documentation and reporting; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools for data handling and reporting, with capacity to analyze and interpret basic program data.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned areas (about 80% travel required).
  • Valid two- or four-wheeler driving license, preferably with access to a personal vehicle; travel expenses reimbursed per policy.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be a cooperative team player, and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities focused on health outcomes improvement.

Compensation and Additional Details

Compensation will reflect the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and previous salary. Contracting will be handled through EAII Advisors Pvt Ltd.
