About the Role
The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering learning experiences that are engaging, practical, scalable, and aligned to business needs across the organisation. Reporting to the Learning & Capability Delivery Team Lead, this role helps lift capability across operations, customer, product, and distribution teams.
The position places strong emphasis on user experience, innovation, and ensuring all learning content supports business goals while meeting compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusted working relationships with stakeholders across the business, especially Learning & Capability, Operations, and related teams, to deliver effective learning outcomes.
- Design, build, and deliver learning programs in both virtual and in-person settings, including session plans, digital learning modules, video content, assessments, and learner support materials.
- Adapt training solutions to suit learner requirements, operational realities, and business priorities so that the content remains usable, accessible, and practical.
- Explain complex ideas in a clear way and help create a learning environment that is inclusive, engaging, and psychologically safe.
- Use learning systems, reporting, and feedback to measure learner impact, improve training effectiveness, and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Support compulsory, compliance, and risk-related training by keeping materials accurate, current, properly documented, and ready for audit review.
- Bring in creative learning techniques such as microlearning, gamification, video, and new technologies to improve engagement and retention.
- Maintain high-quality learning assets that are brand-consistent, accessible, commercially sound, and delivered on time.
- Work with tools and platforms such as Articulate, Vyond, Biteable, Venngage, LMS systems, MS Suite, Confluence, Jira, and Slack to create and manage learning content.
Requirements
- Strong capability in facilitating both face-to-face and online learning sessions.
- Demonstrated experience identifying learning needs and turning them into engaging, practical training solutions.
- Experience creating and delivering a variety of learning formats, including digital resources and instructor-led sessions.
- Ability to use data, learner feedback, and training insights to improve outcomes and learning effectiveness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across teams.
- Comfort with learning design tools, digital content platforms, and changing technology environments.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and confident operating in a fast-moving workplace.
- Advantageous experience in financial services, lending, or other regulated and fast-paced environments.
- Exposure to change management, agile ways of working, or continuous improvement practices is desirable.
