This IT center supports global operations spanning 30 markets by envisioning future information systems, collaborating on major banking projects, and delivering high-end proprietary banking software. Role Overview

We invite proactive and innovative candidates to join our multicultural Core Banking IT department as a Junior Java Developer. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the International Back Office Cash Management System utilized across 25 global business units. This comprehensive system includes modules managing reference data, commercial back office processes (such as payments, loans, deposits, guarantees, letters of credit), accounting, management control, credit risk monitoring, and supports local regulatory and headquarters reporting leveraging a data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements to design and implement software solutions.
  • Develop new features and functionalities using up-to-date Java technologies and React frameworks in alignment with detailed functional specifications.
  • Plan and execute application deployment ensuring seamless roll-outs across international sites.
  • Enhance existing software capabilities and oversee software testing and validation to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads and architects to elaborate technical specifications and system integration plans.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation including specifications, unit testing procedures, code reviews, and integration documents throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support functional and user acceptance testing as well as conduct non-functional testing to guarantee system robustness.
  • Assist in diagnosing production issues and provide timely technical support when needed.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Between 1 to 3 years’ experience in designing and developing web and standalone applications using modern Java/JEE technologies within Unix environments.
  • Experience or familiarity with UI frameworks such as React or Angular is highly desirable.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Spring Framework components including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, and Dependency Injection (IOC).
  • Good understanding of containerization technologies (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Knowledge of microservices architectural patterns.
  • Basic hands-on experience with Jenkins, Maven build tools, and deployment automation (Master Deploy).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and SVN.
  • Experience or awareness of messaging middleware including IBM MQ, HornetQ, RabbitMQ.
  • Worked with JavaScript tools and frameworks such as Aurelia, Durandal, or ReactJS.
  • Exposure to application servers like JBoss, Jetty, WebSphere.
  • Ability to design solutions using proven design patterns, understand typical anti-patterns, and optimize application performance.
