Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking a JavaScript Developer to enhance and deploy new features across our web technology stack. This full-time position operates remotely and involves collaboration with engineering teams on live production environments using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support features on the Node.js backend and React or Vue frontend frameworks.
- Write clear, maintainable, and thoroughly tested JavaScript and TypeScript code.
- Create and interact with APIs spanning various service layers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs across the full application stack.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining engineering quality standards.
- Coordinate with product and design teams to evaluate project scope and make trade-off decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience developing production-level JavaScript/TypeScript applications.
- Proficient with Node.js and at least one frontend framework (React or Vue).
- Experienced with REST API design and modern build tools like Vite, Webpack, or esbuild.
- Familiar with testing suites such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
- Knowledgeable in relational databases and SQL queries.
- Comfortable using Git version control, continuous integration/deployment processes, and peer code review.
Attributes and Work Approach
- Demonstrates curiosity and initiative in system analysis and continuous improvement implementations.
- Communicates technical decisions effectively in writing.
- Adopts a test-and-learn philosophy, enabling quick releases, feedback measurement, and iterative advancements.
- Able to work asynchronously across multiple time zones with minimal supervision.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive compensation package aligned with experience, qualifications, and location, with indicative salary ranging from $90,000 to $150,000 USD equivalent, inclusive of benefits.
