Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Inventory Controller to join a well-established building supplies business based in Rayleigh, England. This full-time, Monday to Friday position involves managing inventory levels across a regional operation to ensure stock availability meets customer demand and supports purchasing, forecasting, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage appropriate stock levels regionally to fulfill customer requirements.
- Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to monitor and enhance stock performance.
- Regularly review and update stock profiles in response to changing demand and supplier capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with branch managers, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline inventory processes.
- Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and inventory efficiency.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical approach and proficiency with data, systems, and spreadsheets. Prior experience in inventory control, stock management, purchasing, or supply chain roles is highly beneficial. Advanced Excel skills are essential for analyzing data trends and supporting stock decisions.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in Excel with strong analytical capabilities.
- Confident working with business IT systems.
- Experience in inventory control, stock management, purchasing, or supply chain functions.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
- Knowledge of working to stock or service-level KPIs.
- Experience with Kerridge K8 software is advantageous.
