Role Overview
The Document Controller will support the successful execution of large-scale data centre construction projects by overseeing all project-related documentation. This includes managing drawings, technical submissions, handover records, and ensuring strict adherence to client and project documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and control all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and correspondence, ensuring correct numbering, version control, and timely distribution of approved documents.
- Administer and update document management platforms, primarily Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Monitor document workflows, track approvals, submissions, and follow up on pending actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure document requirements are met.
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC records, inspection reports, commissioning documents, and compile handover packages including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and final turnover files.
- Support audit processes by ensuring compliance with organizational and project-specific document control procedures.
Candidate Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- At least 3 to 5 years of document control experience in construction, MEP, industrial, or data centre project environments.
- Proven hands-on expertise with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with other document management systems such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or BIM 360 is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of document control protocols including revision management, transmittals, RFIs, and submittals.
- Experience handling QA/QC, commissioning, and project handover documents.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with excellent organizational and stakeholder communication skills.
- Preferred background supporting data centre or mission-critical facility projects, with knowledge of MEP documentation and commissioning procedures.
- Capacity to manage high volumes of technical and construction documentation in dynamic, fast-paced project settings.
