Role Overview
The position of Data Analyst & Predictive Analytics Specialist involves gathering, examining, interpreting, and modeling data from business operations to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decisions. This role integrates data analysis, statistical evaluation, predictive modeling, forecasting, and business intelligence to uncover trends, forecast outcomes, evaluate business risks and opportunities, and aid in strategic and operational planning.
The professional will collaborate closely with both business units and technical teams to transform complex datasets into insightful models, forecasts, dashboards, and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Aggregate, clean, verify, and structure data from diverse internal and external sources to facilitate thorough analysis and modeling.
- Construct and sustain comprehensive analytical datasets by utilizing SQL and supporting ETL, data preparation, and integration workflows.
- Investigate customer, transactional, financial, sales, operational, and other business data to discern trends, correlations, anomalies, and key performance factors.
- Utilize statistical techniques such as regression analysis, classification, hypothesis testing, correlation assessment, and A/B testing to underpin business analytics.
- Create, validate, and deploy predictive models employing statistical and machine learning approaches to inform business decisions.
- Perform customer segmentation, behavioral analytics, churn prediction, anomaly detection, and fraud analytics.
- Generate forecasts for vital business metrics including transaction volumes, revenue streams, customer engagement, retention rates, merchant and operational performance, and risk assessments.
- Implement time-series forecasting, analyze trends and seasonality, and carry out scenario analyses to support business planning.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, key performance indicator reports, and analytical summaries to monitor organizational performance.
- Automate repetitive analysis and reporting tasks to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of data outputs.
- Conduct root cause and performance evaluations and translate analytical insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Assess, validate, monitor, and continually refine predictive models ensuring thorough documentation of methodologies, assumptions, datasets, and outputs.
- Maintain data integrity, security, confidentiality, and governance in alignment with company policies, information security standards, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, economics, or related disciplines.
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, predictive analytics, statistics, data science, or related fields.
- Proven experience handling large-scale datasets sourced from multiple origins.
- Demonstrated ability in developing analytical models and business reports.
- Prior experience in FinTech, banking, payments, financial services, or technology sectors is highly valued.
- Professional certifications in data analytics, data science, machine learning, statistics, or business intelligence are advantageous.
