About the Role
At Lidl Ireland, every role from headquarters to the shop floor is focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience. We are looking for energetic, customer-focused individuals eager to learn and grow. As a Customer Assistant based in Kilcock, County Kildare, you will work a 30-hour standard contract and earn €460 or more weekly.
Typical Schedule
- Morning Shift: Starting at 5am or 6am, prepare the store for opening by stocking award-winning products and bakery items for customers to enjoy.
- Middle Shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, maintain the store’s cleanliness and presentation, keep products fresh, assist customers, and operate tills efficiently to reduce queues.
- Late Shift: Begin in the afternoon to provide excellent customer service at the tills, restock items, and ready the store for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
- Adhere to stock loss control procedures throughout the store.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene inside and outside the store.
- Apply freshness and product rotation principles diligently.
- Properly manage waste according to guidelines.
- Support stocktaking processes as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Committed to going the extra mile for customers.
- Responsible, dependable, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
- Team-spirited and collaborative.
- Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory if you demonstrate the right approach.
- You must be at least 18 years old, as selling alcohol is part of the role.
Compensation and Benefits

- Hourly wage starting at €15.40, increasing up to €17.90 after three years.

Pay Scale Details by Year
- Year 1: Basic €15.40/hour, €19.25 unsocial hours, €23.10 overtime/Sundays, €30.80 bank holidays.
- Year 2: Basic €16.20/hour, €20.25 unsocial hours, €24.30 overtime/Sundays, €32.40 bank holidays.
- Year 3: Basic €16.90/hour, €21.13 unsocial hours, €25.35 overtime/Sundays, €33.80 bank holidays.
- Year 4+: Basic €17.90/hour, €22.38 unsocial hours, €26.85 overtime/Sundays, €35.80 bank holidays.
