Role Overview
At Lidl Ireland, our mission extends from the Head Office through to every shop floor: delivering an exceptional customer experience for all shoppers. If you are enthusiastic about customer service, eager to learn daily, and possess a high-energy attitude, you could join us as a Customer Assistant earning over €460 weekly on a 30-hour contract.
Work Schedule
The role encompasses varied shifts and tasks:
- Morning Shift: Starts at 5am or 6am, involving restocking award-winning products and preparing fresh bakery items to ensure the store is ready for opening.
- Middle Shift: Commences mid-morning or early afternoon, focusing on maintaining store cleanliness, ensuring product freshness, assisting customers on the floor, and operating tills to reduce queue times.
- Late Shift: From the afternoon onwards, duties include delivering excellent customer service at tills, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the next day.
Primary Duties
- Engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Adhere to stock loss prevention policies throughout the store.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene both inside and outside the store.
- Follow fresh product rotation and quality guidelines.
- Manage disposal of waste appropriately.
- Support stock counting activities.

Compensation and Benefits
We provide a transparent, fair salary system promoting pay equality across our workforce. Details include:
- Hourly rates starting at €15.40, increasing up to €17.90 after three years, plus additional supplemental pay for unsocial hours, overtime, Sundays, and public holidays.

Compensation Rates by Year
- Year 1: €15.40 basic, €19.25 unsocial hours, €23.10 overtime/Sundays, €30.80 bank holidays.
- Year 2: €16.20 basic, €20.25 unsocial hours, €24.30 overtime/Sundays, €32.40 bank holidays.
- Year 3: €16.90 basic, €21.13 unsocial hours, €25.35 overtime/Sundays, €33.80 bank holidays.
- Year 4: €17.90 basic, €22.38 unsocial hours, €26.85 overtime/Sundays, €35.80 bank holidays.
