Job description
Role Overview
Based in Poole, this Support Driver position involves managing delivery and collection duties around the Poole operational region. The role is integral to maintaining safety and warmth by transporting NRSWA-compliant boards, barriers, and van stock to work sites. Additionally, the role includes supporting store coordination and standby duties, as well as potential involvement in dispatch coordination during absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely delivery of compliant equipment to sites and ensuring thorough site clearance to avoid local authority penalties.
- Supply delivery of materials to operational teams on-site.
- Assisting with standby duties as required.
- Managing store-related responsibilities and coordinating inventory.
- Supporting daily dispatch functions during driver shortages, including work allocation using the A–Z dispatch system.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication skills, including ease of interaction with the general public.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and participate in a standby rota.
- Basic familiarity or aptitude with smartphones and tablets is beneficial.
- Possession of a full UK driving license is essential.
- Preferred but not mandatory: Accreditation for towing trailers and vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
- Knowledge of the gas industry is an advantage.
- Favorable qualifications include NRSWA tickets units 1 and 2, and a drivers CPC qualification card.
- Comfortable and confident with IT and computer-based systems; training will be provided as needed.

- Annual salary starting at 28,200, increasing to 31,300 upon successful probation completion.
