Python Developer

Job Summary

This contract role seeks a Python Developer to contribute expertise in training next-generation AI systems. Your domain knowledge will influence how AI models learn, reason, and perform through genuine, high-quality data inputs. Experience specifically in AI is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL API endpoints.
• Implement robust backend data validation, error handling, and enforce security best practices.
• Manage database schema modifications, migrations, and optimize performance.
• Test novel AI-powered coding models via the Cursor platform and provide comprehensive feedback through incident reports, bug logs, and screenshots.
• Engage in focused 4-day testing sessions analyzing AI's impact on real coding workflows.
• Collaborate actively with the research team via dedicated communication channels to share findings and suggest enhancements.
• Submit thorough surveys after testing bursts to report on model efficacy and developer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in creating and managing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong grasp of backend data validation, error management, and API security protocols.
• Experience in executing database schema changes, migrations, and tuning for optimal performance.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools for coding, preferably including Cursor.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document incidents and bugs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, confidential remote collaboration environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated contributions to open-source projects, such as GitHub stars or commits.
• Experience designing or assessing experimental developer tools and workflows.
• Strong interest and enthusiasm for advancing AI in software development.
