Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and neatly zoned produce area at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired items to uphold freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure produce pricing and signage are accurate and comply with established procedures involving ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain standards, including using thermometers, conducting temperature checks, and following sell-by or expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, apply product protections, and set display modulars to keep the section fully stocked.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Manage high task volume in a fast-paced environment while maintaining energy during overnight or varied shifts.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive duties like stocking and organizing with consistent attention to detail and store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
