Overview
Transport for NSW is looking for a dedicated Plant Operator to join their team based in Coonabarabran, NSW. This permanent full-time role involves operating, maintaining, and supporting the safe delivery of road construction and maintenance projects that benefit the people of New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate large and complex civil construction plant equipment within team settings to deliver efficient and high-quality road infrastructure.
- Support road worker activities while adhering to safety and compliance standards set by the organization.
- Maintain and ensure operational readiness of plant equipment in a dynamic infrastructure maintenance environment with evolving safety requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to overcome operational challenges and contribute to safe and timely infrastructure delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Strong focus on worksite safety—both physical and mental well-being of self and colleagues.
- Proven experience in operating complex plant machinery within civil construction, road maintenance, or related field-based operational roles.
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills in dynamic environments to maintain compliance and quality standards.
- Recognized as a reliable team player with adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
- Effective collaboration in field-based environments, supporting infrastructure initiatives with a commitment to safety.
