Perfumery Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Precisely weigh formulas and prepare various trial oils, dilutions, and IPCs essential for flashpoint testing.
• Coordinate raw and packaging material orders through SAP, managing urgent requests and restocking as required.
• Create and monitor application tasks in SAP to ensure they align closely with perfumer instructions.
• Keep detailed and organized records of perfumer creations and trial oils using Excel.
• Retrieve raw materials and ready samples for perfumer training and evaluation purposes.
• Ensure the consistency of materials received from the Jurong plant, verifying color, odor, and physical characteristics.
• Prepare smelling strips and compound dilutions for perfumer testing and approval processes.
• Oversee and prioritize the workload of junior assistants to maximize laboratory efficiency.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment, promptly reporting any abnormalities or near-miss events.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Chemical or a relevant field.
• Basic understanding of compounding processes.
• Familiarity with SAP for logistics and material requests.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and good housekeeping practices.
• Basic computer skills.
