Role Overview

As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud-native applications. You will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including API design, frontend interfaces, testing, deployment, and production support. Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment, you will own features end-to-end, drive architectural decisions, and proactively integrate AI tools to enhance development processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly web frontends using modern frameworks such as React.
• Take full ownership of features from concept through production release.
• Contribute to scalable, maintainable system design and architectural direction.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, QA, and engineers to deliver quality solutions.
• Write clear, testable, efficient code adhering to best coding practices.
• Engage in code reviews and advocate for continuous improvement of code quality.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve issues at both development and production stages.
• Support continuous integration and delivery with containerized deployment solutions.
• Ensure application security, data integrity, and operational reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to optimize code generation, testing, and debugging workflows.
• Continuously enhance automation procedures and system performance.

Candidate Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in building modern web apps using TypeScript.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js; familiarity with frameworks like Express.js or Nest.js is advantageous.
• Competence building UI components with React or similar.
• Solid understanding of API design and consumption, primarily RESTful services; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Understanding distributed or microservice architectures.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (AWS or equivalent platforms).
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code practices (Terraform, Flux, etc.).
• Hands-on with containerization and CI/CD tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions.
• Skilled in writing and maintaining unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Experience with UI test automation tools like Playwright is a plus.
• Strong interest in leveraging AI technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
• Good grasp of application security concepts including authentication and authorization.
• Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile (Scrum) methodology.
• Capability to independently manage components or applications, delivering features with minimal oversight.
• Active contributor in architectural and technical decision-making.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory given sufficient practical experience.
