Enterprise / Solution Architect

About the Role

GlobalLogic is collaborating with a prominent financial services firm undergoing significant architectural transformation. The Head of Architecture is recruiting Enterprise and Solution Architects to expand their architecture team. Successful candidates will embed directly into a specialized technology-focused Tribe, with the option to choose the Tribe best matching their expertise. Each Tribe reports to the Head of Architecture to ensure a cohesive vision and full visibility of your contributions.

Location and Work Pattern

This position is based primarily in Glasgow, Scotland, with hybrid work arrangements expected—candidates will be required to work on-site up to two days per week. For those located outside Glasgow (e.g., London), occasional travel to Glasgow for key alignments, workshops, and collaborative events is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, documentation, and ownership of complex solution architectures within your appointed Tribe from initial concept through delivery.
• Serve as a vital communication bridge, translating technical concepts and facilitating dialogues across Tribes and multiple business stakeholders to ensure alignment and secure consensus.
• Operate effectively within Agile environments alongside product owners and engineering teams to resolve dependencies and support delivery.
• Uphold architecture governance by ensuring all solutions comply with organizational standards and industry best practices, leveraging frameworks such as TOGAF.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture roles.
• A technology-agnostic approach focused on applying the most suitable tools regardless of platform or cloud provider.
• Background in highly regulated sectors, preferably Financial Services, but other regulated industries are also considered.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile settings; familiarity with Jira for tracking delivery is advantageous.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies, especially TOGAF or equivalents.
• Willingness to be present in the Glasgow office up to two days weekly and travel occasionally for team events.
