Job description

Role Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser where you play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare staff to deliver safe and efficient pharmacy services within the store. Dedicated to patient care, you will build relationships by understanding customers' needs and providing informed health guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately, ensuring safe medication supply including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection.
  • Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to assist in delivering pharmacy services.
  • Provide advice and care to patients regarding medicines, referring complex issues to the Pharmacist.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safe and legal dispensing practices.
  • Stay updated with innovations and operational guidelines within the store pharmacy.
  • Help patients manage repeat prescriptions and promote effective medicine adherence reducing waste.
  • Utilize evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improving patient safety and freeing time for patient interaction.

Requirements

  • Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or currently studying MPharm with first year completed.
  • Valid UK right to work; note this position is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
  • Experience in community pharmacy is highly desirable.

Additional Information

This role is based in-store in the UK and does not consider remote applicants. Confirmation of relevant UK qualifications and legal work right is mandatory for candidates outside the UK.

Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment check including DBS, PVG, or Access NI depending on location.
