Help at Home is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Pittsboro, MS, to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their residences and local communities. Key Responsibilities

• Providing individualized support in daily activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care, and transportation
• Facilitating social and community involvement like shopping and attending events
• Assisting clients in setting and achieving personal objectives and recognizing their accomplishments
• Encouraging autonomy, choice, and self-advocacy among clients
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of care and client progress
• Collaborating with team members to ensure consistent and quality support

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass background checks and complete mandatory training
• Hold a valid driver’s license with dependable transportation and proof of insurance
• Ability to operate safely and respectfully within clients’ homes and communities
• Demonstrate empathy, dependability, and motivation to positively influence others

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism
• Familiarity with Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
• Knowledge of behavioral support techniques including redirection, visual aids, and modifying environments
