About Team Global Express
Team Global Express NZ specializes in freight forwarding, comprehensive logistics, and end-to-end transport services across New Zealand, servicing locations from Kaitaia to Invercargill. Their Christchurch branch is currently seeking a Class 5 Driver to support collections and deliveries for a key client.
Role Overview
The position requires ensuring timely and secure handling of freight to meet delivery objectives. Candidates must hold a valid Class 5 license along with Dangerous Goods (D&G) and F endorsements to perform the duties effectively. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, typically beginning around 6am.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload freight, or use a forklift as necessary.
- Handle all freight carefully to avoid damage.
- Scan every item of freight that is handled.
- Complete pickups and deliveries punctually and in full.
- Engage fully in all safety procedures and protocols.
- Drive vehicles safely and comply with legal standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle inside and out.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have a clean, full New Zealand Class 5 driver's license.
- Possession of a Dangerous Goods endorsement is required.
- Forklift license with current OSH certification is mandatory.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- Experience driving on New Zealand roads.
