About the Employer
A reputable company located in Kilkenny is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to join their team with a hybrid working arrangement.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop a team of Payroll Managers and Specialists, fostering a culture centered on collaboration, high performance, and client focus.
- Oversee complete payroll delivery for multiple clients, managing a specific portfolio to ensure accuracy, timely execution, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Act as the senior contact point for complicated payroll inquiries and escalations, cultivating strong client and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Drive payroll service strategies by encouraging process improvements, technology use, and ongoing enhancement initiatives, while participating in cross-department projects like system implementation and compliance efforts.
- Assist with financial planning tasks such as budgeting and resource management, contributing to the growth of both the payroll team and broader business.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years' payroll experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in senior management roles.
- Proven expertise in managing outsourced payroll operations, leading projects, and delivering process or system improvements.
- Possession of a third-level qualification in Payroll, HR, Finance, or a related field, with an essential IPASS qualification.
- Strong leadership capabilities, having managed both managers and large teams.
- Deep knowledge of payroll laws and best practices, maintaining the highest professional integrity.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland confirmed by Stamp 4 or possession of an EU Passport.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range between €70,000 and €75,000 annually, alongside additional benefits.
